Salt harvest gets underway in France's Guerande region

Description

Blue skies, bright sunshine, a light breeze... The conditions are ideal for the beginning of the salt harvest in the western French town of Guerande. Work started at the beginning of June and it's been a great season thus far. But the race is on to collect all the salt from the flats, for just one storm can mean operations are halted for up to two weeks.
