The United States is suing Google for its dominance of the online advertising market, announces Attorney General Merrick Garland from the US Justice Department in Washington, DC. "We allege that Google has used anticompetitive, exclusionary, and unlawful conduct to eliminate or severely diminish any threat to its dominance over digital advertising technologies," he tells a press conference. A Moscow court continues hearing the case of a city councillor who faces up to 10 years in jail for criticising Russia's military intervention in Ukraine.
