Boris Johnson to remain as UK PM after securing the backing of Conservative MPs
The ballot takes place on Monday evening, after at least 15% of his own Members of Parliament submitted letters calling for a vote of confidence in his leadership.
One Labour MP said the Conservative rebellion against the UK government "is a reflection of the shattered authority of Boris Johnson".
The UK prime minister outlined a vision for a "high wage, high skill, high productivity and low tax economy" but gave no details of how he intends to achieve it.
