Kurds call on Turkey to end a new security offensive in the southeastern part of the country, that they say has killed more than a score of civilians. Diane Hodges reports.
The five European members of the UN Security Council call for Turkey to halt its offensive against Syrian Kurdish forces. "We call upon Turkey to cease the unilateral military action" says Jürgen Schulz, Deputy Permanent Representative of Germany to the United Nations. SOUNDBITE

Protesters gather outside government offices in Yerevan hours after Azerbaijan launched a military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, as Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan slammed calls for a "coup" in Armenia. At the international airport of Spata near Athens, staff load medical supplies and tents onto a plane bound for Adana as part of Greece's humanitarian aid to Turkey's earthquake-stricken region. French civil security rescue teams arrive at a NATO military base in the town of Incirlik in the southern Turkish province of Adana.
