More than 150 hot air balloons from 23 countries filled the skies over the Mexican city of Leon, as the International Balloon Festival celebrated its 17th edition.The festival, which started in 2002 with only a dozen balloons, now draws crowds of over 550,000 people alongside hot air balloon pilots from around the world.

Bristol International Balloon Fiesta kicked off near Ashton Court, Bristol, on Friday, as dozens of the hot air balloons soared upwards into the sky. The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is a four-day event, which is made up of hot air balloon displays from across the world and is expected to attract around half a million spectators.
