The new Mercedes-Benz GLA, the eighth model to join the line-up (globally), represents the gateway into the brand's successful family of SUV models. The character has been significantly reinforced here compared with the previous model: the height of the new GLA, at 63.5 inches (1,613 millimeters) with standard roof rails, exceeds that of its predecessor by more than 3.9 inches (ten centimeters). The correspondingly higher and characteristic SUV seating position also comes with more headroom in the first row. Legroom in the rear is also much more generous - even though the GLA is now 0.6 inches shorter. Typical off-road design features include the upright front section, short overhangs at the front and rear, and protective cladding. 4MATIC models feature the Off-Road Engineering Package as standard, which comprises an additional driving program, a downhill driving assist function and an off- road animation in the media display.The new GLA makes a further step in terms of safety courtesy of its driver assistance systems with cooperative driver support. The enhanced functions of the Driver Assistance Package include, for example, the exit warning function alerting the driver to approaching cyclists or vehicles, and a warning when pedestrians are detected near crosswalks. The Mercedes-Benz GLA is able to react when the driver doesn't. Active Brake Assist is charged in many situations with applying autonomous braking to avoid a collision or to reduce its severity. The system can also brake at a speed of up to approx. 37 mph for stationary vehicles and pedestrians crossing the road ahead. Mercedes-Benz will pursue a differentiated strategic approach with its vans in the future. As presented last year (2023), the company is aiming for a premium strategy for its commercial vans. In the future, a focused luxury strategy will apply to all newly developed, privately positioned vans, as is the case for all Mercedes‑Benz passenger cars. The aim is to fully implement this strategic change with the introduction of the upcoming modular and scalable Van Electric Architecture – VAN.EA for short – from 2026. The new private midsize vans EQV and V-Class are an important milestone on this path. Both are further elevated with new exterior and interior designs. There is also an increase in comfort and safety, especially thanks to more intelligent, digital networking. The models have been available to order from Mercedes‑Benz sales partners and online since January 2024. The standard equipment has been comprehensively upgraded and thereby tailored more precisely to customer requirements. The new V-Class starts at a list price of 59,470.25 euros[1], the new EQV from 75,281.78 euros. The new V-Class also forms the basis for the V-Class Marco Polo camper van, which is offered ex factory. It starts at 80,004.89 euros1 and adopts the model's attractiveness almost completely.
The EQS SUV offers plenty of space, comfort and connectivity for up to seven vehicle occupants in its avant-garde, luxurious interior. Thanks to powerful electric motors, responsive 4MATIC all-wheel drive and an intelligent OFFROAD driving mode, this model is also capable of tackling light terrain with ease. At market launch, the model range comprises three variants: EQS 450 + and EQS 450 4MATIC each with 265 kW output, and the EQS 580 4MATIC with 400 kW.The new EQS SUV shares its long wheelbase (3,210 millimetres) with the EQS Saloon, but is more than 20 centimetres higher. The dimensions in detail: 5,125/1,959/1,718 millimetres. The interior dimensions benefit from these generous SUV dimensions and from the advantages of the purpose design tailored to the electric platform. The second row of seats can be electrically adjusted as standard. Up to four golf bags fit in the boot. A third row of seats with two additional individual seats and extensive comfort features for all passengers is available as an option.
