The Sri Lankan military is attempting to reach thousands of people stranded in their homes after the country was hit by the worst flooding in 25 years. Nathan Frandino reports.
Rescuers from the Pakistan navy help residents in Dadu evacuate from their flooded homes, as large parts of southern Pakistan remain under water. More than 33 million people in Pakistan have been affected by the flooding, brought on by record monsoon rains amplified by climate change. A search team from Russia's ministry of emergency situations are at work on the site of the crash of a passenger plane. A search team recovered the bodies of nine people on Wednesday after the plane crashed in Russia's remote far eastern Kamchatka peninsula.
