Judge Denies Epstein Bail Request

Description

Business Insider reports that US District Judge Richard Berman announced his decision to deny Jeffrey Epstein bail. Epstein is a wealthy financier and convicted sex offender currently facing charges in the Southern District of New York. Federal prosecutors and two of Epstein's accusers argued that releasing Epstein on bail would endanger the public. They also argued that bail would allow for potential obstruction of justice due to his wealth and connections.
