Did Hope Hicks Lie In Closed Congressional Interview?

Description

Newly released court documents are raising questions about former White House communications director Hope Hicks. Specifically, whether she misled House lawmakers during a closed-door interview last month. Hicks told the House Judiciary Committee she didn't attend talks involving President Donald Trump and his one-time attorney, Michael Cohen. They discussed hush-money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign. But according to Politico, newly released, unsealed portions of a search warrant reveals otherwise. Hicks participated in a phone call with Trump and Cohen in early October 2016. The pair were beginning negotiations on a deal to try and keep Daniels from going public with allegations about an affair with Trump
