House Judiciary Chair: Mueller's Report Shows Trump Committed High Crimes, Misdemeanors

Description

There is “substantial evidence” that President Donald Trump committed high crimes and misdemeanors. That's what House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler told "Fox News Sunday" viewers Sunday. Nadler says he plans to ask former Special Counsel Robert Mueller to say as such at a congressional hearing Wednesday. The administration must be held accountable, and no president can be above the law. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) Nadler’s comments are significant because evidence of such crimes would be required if Democrats pursue impeachment proceedings.

Also, pardoning GOP lawmakers involved in the Capitol insurrection would anger the very Senate Republicans impeaching him. Several of Trump's closest advisers have also urged him not to grant clemency to anyone who breached the US Capitol. White House counsel Pat Cipollone and another attorney who represented Trump in his first impeachment trial, Eric Herschmann, offered the grave warnings.
