Majority of House Democrats Support Beginning Impeachment Process

Description

More than half of House Democrats want to vote to begin impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump. According to Politico, this will make Speaker Nancy Pelosi reconsider her position on impeachment. Rep. Eliot Engel said: “The president’s repeated abuses have brought American democracy to a perilous crossroads.” Engel said impeachment is the “only way to achieve justice” and announced his support for impeachment. 118 out of 235 voting members support impeachment efforts, more members agreeing after Robert Mueller’s testimony.
