A newborn leopard cub has found an unlikely wet nurse in a golden retriever called Tessy at Sadgorod Zoo in Vladivostok, after he was separated from its mother by zookeepers. Zoo staff said that the leopard's mother has a history of maltreating her cubs, which led to the separate the cub from his birth mom. Although zookeepers attempted to bottle feed the cub in the beginning, they soon found an unlikely candidate to take over providing nourishment for little feline.
An unusual duo, a cute husky and tiny black baby kitten have become such good friends that they are now drinking buddies, literally. The pair of extreme opposites shared a bottle of milk after playing together in their owner's home in Fillmore, Saskatchwean on Saturday. The husky called Chaos and kitten Tipsy were filmed by their owners romping around before taking turns to drink some milk.
Three newly-born Amur tiger cub triplets were seen playing with their parents at their new home in Belogorsk’s Taigan Safari Park on Monday, after the sanctuary welcomed the cuddly cats into this world last week. The newborn triplets represent a major boost to the population as there are only about 500 Amur tigers left in the wild, mostly in Russia's Far East provinces. Amur tigers were once found throughout the Russian Far East, northern China and the Korean peninsula, but were driven to the brink of extinction by the 1940s as a result of hunting. However, Russia granted the tiger full protection soon afterwards and numbers have risen.
