The next generation of wacky gadgets set to hit the shelves got unveiled at 2018 Consumer Electronics Show. A clothes folding machine, a 3D avatar photo booth and Kuri the home robot were just some of the cool new tech trends that were showcased this year at the annual exhibition. Innovations in consumer electronics, robotics, drones, 3D printing, mobility, and wearables get unveiled to the world at the CES show, which acts as a sort of testing ground for new ideas.

Mercedes-Benz Vision Urbanetic concept has been previewed at CES 2019, Las Vegas. This all-electric, self-driving vehicle can be outfitted as a people mover or a cargo hauler. With Vision URBANETIC Mercedes-Benz presents a revolutionary mobility concept that goes way beyond existing ideas on autonomous vehicles. Vision URBANETIC eliminates the separation between people moving and goods transport. It enables on-demand, sustainable and efficient movement of people and goods – and applies an innovative approach to fulfil the needs of cities, businesses from diverse sectors as well as city dwellers and travellers. The concept reduces traffic flows, relieves inner-city infrastructures and contributes to an improved quality of urban life.
At the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas from January 8 – 11, 2019, the BMW Group presents its vision of intelligent connectivity to the public, highlighting the potential for future individual mobility. The focal point of the company’s CES showcase is the BMW Vision iNEXT, which looks ahead to the future of driving pleasure, and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, which, as an on-board expert and the soul of the BMW, constitutes the central element for interaction between the driver, their vehicle, and their digital world. The BMW Vision iNEXT forms the optical highlight of the exhibition stand, which also showcases the interior design principle “My Favorite Space” with harmonious, natural surfaces and technology that is kept discreetly out of sight. A sophisticated mixed-reality installation also provides a virtual impression of the future driving experience promised by the BMW Vision iNEXT.
Japanese automaker Toyota presented a prototype autonomous concept vehicle, named e-Palette, at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Monday. e-Palette is a futuristic-looking box atop a next-generation battery electric platform, powered by Toyota's future autonomous vehicle tech. It will be available in three sizes, ranging from 13 feet to some 23 feet long. Apart from serving as a shared transport vehicle, the e-Palette can also spur e-commerce by bringing stores, offices and retail business directly to your doorstep.
