Treating cancer with chemotherapy can save your life, but at the same time, it can trash your hair--and everyone can see it. Many women choose to cover post-chemo hair loss and growout with scarves or hats. But there's no law that says you have to! According to Allure, ovarian cancer survivor Susan Chinn says she quickly got fed up with the discomfort and complication of wearing head coverings. According to Allure, she did something different. She embraced the look and returned to work--despite her trepidation. I remember returning to work with my dome shining bright...self-conscious and convinced that all eyes were focused on my bald head. Chinn says the most important things to have are a sense of humor and good hair products for every step along the way.
There are several different types of warts, but they all come from the same virus: the human papillomavirus, or HPV. However, there are over 150 strains of HPV, some of which are linked to genital warts and cervical cancer. Put another way, all warts are 'cousins' of each other. According to Allure, plantar warts grow on the soles of the feet. Flat warts grow on sun-exposed parts of the body, most often the face and hands. Filiform warts are more alarming because they emerge in clumps on the face and can alarmingly resemble bushes' Warts are treated by freezing with liquid nitrogen, treated topically with salicylic acid, electrically zapped, or removed surgically. If you have genital warts, see your doctor!

Formula is expensive, especially if baby has special dietary needs. Kiddie meals at restaurants aren't that cheap, either. And teen boys are walking refrigerator-inhalers! And public school isn't really free. School supplies, books, uniforms, sports equipment--the list is endless. Keeping kids engaged and learning after school isn't free, either. Lessons, scouting, clubs, summer camps, family vacations all cost a very pretty penny! Finally, medical care and daycare costs for children can drive parents to distraction. You've been warned!
