Peace talks bring fragile truce in Nigeria 'bandit' conflict

Description

In Zamfara, northwest Nigeria, armed groups nicknamed 'the bandits' and local citizens' defence militias have been engaged in a violent conflict for decades. Now, it would appear that a peace deal has been reached. But while members on both sides are showing signs of optimism, many civilians caught in the crossfire of the conflict are still afraid to leave the displacement camps that they fled to in their thousands, wary of a return to hostilities.
