UK regions prepare for loss of EU investment post-Brexit

Description

The town of Ebbw Vale in south Wales has benefitted from hundreds of millions of euros in EU development money in the decades since its steelworks closed, but despite this it voted heavily in favour of Brexit. With the UK's Brexit transition period due to end on December 31, regions like this hope that British government funds will replace the European money. Since 2014, the UK has received 10.6 billion euros in EU Structural Funds. N°8W77GMN°8W7884
