Paris and Zurich climb list of world's most expensive cities to live in

Paris and Zurich have risen to join Hong Kong at the top of a list of the world's most expensive cities to live in. The ranking is compiled by the Economist Intelligence Unit, which looks at the cost of 138 everyday goods across more than 130 countries. The coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on the list, with an exodus of foreign workers notably affecting the situation in Singapore. Also today, the French government has downgraded its economic growth forecast for 2021.
