Jamastran, Nov 18 (EFE).- What is now Tropical Depression Iota killed at least 22 people on its path through Nicaragua and Honduras, the governments of those Central American nations said Wednesday.Iota, which made landfall late Monday in Nicaragua as a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 250km/h (155 mph), pounded the same areas that were slammed two weeks ago by Eta, also a Cat 4.   • Tropical Storm Nate Rips Through Central America, Killing 22

    Another major tropical storm is ravaging the Caribbean and heading north, with residents living on the US Gulf Coast being put on hurricane, storm surge, and tropical storm watch on Friday. Tropical Storm Nate began ripping through the Nicaraguan town of Juan del Sur on Thursday, destroying boats and infrastructure in its path and pummeling the beaches with waves dozens of feet high. Nate has already been responsible for the deaths of 22 people, mostly due to flash-floods and mudslides brought on by heavy rain.
