Philippines Red Cross to conduct pilot saliva test on 1,000 healthcare workers

Description

Mandaluyong City, Jan 12 (EFE/EPA).- Philippines will conduct pilot saliva testing on 1,000 healthcare workers as part of its Covid-19 study. Some 1,000 initial tests are expected to be conducted on health workers in compliance with health department requirements, as the PRC advises that the saliva collection for Covid-19 is a faster, less invasive and less expensive alternative to the swab sample collection.
