Irish church and state apologise for appalling treatment in mother and baby homes

Description

In this edition, the Irish Government and the Catholic Church apologise over mother and baby homes that abused and shamed unmarried mothers and their children over 70 years. Also the human cost of shame in India. Annette Young talks to Indian author, Sonia Faleiro, about her latest book on the tragic deaths of two young female cousins, whose bodies were found hanging from a tree in Uttar Pradesh. Plus how women are playing a key role in the Indian farming protests against government reforms.
