Nairobi (Kenya), Feb 4 (EFE / EPA), (Camera: Daniel Irungu).- Kenyans Moses Kiuna and David Gathu have spent years developing technological innovations to solve problems in their community, from safety to health issues. During the pandemic they have created a device to disinfect surfaces and spaces contaminated with Covid-19. It can also be used in schools, restaurants, hospitals (...)". "This machine can decontaminate viruses, bacteria ... and also infected surfaces." -DAVID GATHU: "This machine destroys biomolecular levels (...)".
Researchers have successfully taught volunteers to use a mind-controlled robotic arm to carry out two separate tasks simultaneously.
A teenager from Colorado in the U.S. claims that the robotic arm he invented in his bedroom could be a platform for future prosthetic limbs and first responder machinery, not just because of its revolutionary mind control mechanics and telerobotic systems and software, but also because you can 3D print it for less than 600 dollars. Jim Drury reports.
Robot assistants are being developed and tested in field studies to help elderly people in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, thanks to the Technical University of Munich who have opened a research centre for geriatronics.
Major coffee companies may have to watch their backs after CafeX showcased their automated barista in San Francisco. Instead of smiling human baristas, a robotic arm serves up hot brews all with the flick of a finger. CafeX's robotic arm operates via a free smartphone app. Customers download the app, select their desired beans and brews, and automatically pay through the app. The robot arm then prepares the caffeinated drink and serves it to the customer, cutting out all human interaction.
