San Diego University installs Covid-19 vending machines on campus

Description

Vending machines are popping up on the campus of the University of California San Diego, but instead of chocolate or soda, they contain free Covid-19 testing kits. Students are required to drop off their samples in nearby collection boxes within 72 hours and they can receive their results on an app. "As I work, I have to get tested once a week," says student Lisa Nguyan, "so it's pretty convenient to get tested right out of a vending machine."
