Quito, Feb 19 (EFE) .- The president of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE) Jaime Vargas ruled out Wednesday that he was expelled from Guatemala, where he went last week with two other leaders, to participate in a continental meeting.(CAMERA: Juan Francisco Chávez) STATEMENTS FROM JAIME VARGAS, PRESIDENT OF THE CONAIE:"We want to reject the manipulations of what was manifested by Mr. President of CONAIE Jaime Vargas. We were invited by the organizations on January 21, 2020. Jaime Vargas had never been to Guatemala, he legally entered on April 7, 2018, with an American Visa. We exited Equador and entered Guatemala on Feb 11. We left on Feb. 15, just as the invitation says. Presidents of the CONAIE, we followed the agenda 100 percent. "
