Remote village in Finnish Lapland launches climate change campaign that goes viral

Salla (Finland), Feb 14 (EFE / EPA), (Camera: Juanjo Galán).- The remote town of Salla, in Finnish Lapland, has become world-famous thanks to an original campaign on social media that aims to raise awareness on climate change through a false candidacy to host the Summer Olympics in 2032.The campaign, called "Save Salla, save the planet", has gone viral and has already reached more than 250 million people through social media since its launch in late January, according to its promoters.
