Myanmar security forces open fire to disperse protesters

Myanmar's military leaders intensified their crackdown against anti-coup protesters on Monday, seeking to quell the large-scale demonstrations calling for the military junta that seized power earlier this month to reinstate the elected government. Security forces opened fire to disperse protesters in the city of Mandalay, the media outlet Frontier Myanmar reported.
