Panama City, Jul 15 (EFE).- The COVID-19 death toll in Panama decreased in recent weeks thanks to the advance in COVID-19 vaccination drive, the Health Minister Luis Francisco Sucre told EFE on Thursday."The first objective" of the national immunization plan that began on Jan. 20 "was to avoid deaths, and that is what we are accomplishing," Sucre said.Panama has recorded a total of 6,661 deaths since the beginning of pandemic.
