Russia’s Lavrov visits Tehran amid escalating tensions with Israel over nuclear deal

Description

Tensions between Israel and Iran are on the rise, as Tehran blames Israel for an attack against one of its nuclear facilities and vows “revenge”. The incident could undermine talks to get the 2015 nuclear deal back and running with the possibility of the United States re-joining it. Russia’s Foreign minister Sergei Lavrov is visiting Tehran, reaffirming the Russian position as a major ally to Iran, as FRANCE 24’s Moscow correspondent Theo Merz explains.
