Hundreds in Mumbai protest against Covid-19 lockdown


Mumbai, Apr 7 (EFE/EPA).- Hundreds of people gathered on Wednesday in Mumbai to protest against the ongoing coronavirus restrictions, asking for economic help amid the COVID-19 pandemic.The state government of Maharashtra announced new restrictions including a night curfew in the state and strict lockdown on the weekends, to combat the spike in coronavirus cases. Shopping malls, restaurants, bars, gymnasiums, amusement parks, parks, playgrounds, beaches, salons, and places of worship will be closed, while home delivery and essential services will be allowed.
