The Toyota GR Supra has made a remarkable impact, affirming its status as a sports car in its purest form, designed and engineered for the joy of driving. As the first global model to be developed by Toyota Gazoo Racing, it has drawn on Toyota’s sports car heritage while exploring new horizons of handling and performance.Now the range is being extended in the UK for the first time with the established 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged engine being joined by a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo unit.The new 2.0-litre engine widens GR Supra’s market appeal and, being lighter and more compact than the 3.0-litre unit, improves the car’s inertia characteristics and chassis balance for even sharper handling.Where weight is concerned, the GR Supra 2.0 weighs 100kg less than its 3.0-litre equivalent, a saving that further strengthens the car’s dynamic performance. The engine’s shorter length means its mass is located closer to the centre of the car, supporting an ideal front/rear balance and better inertia characteristics.
The excellent handling of the Toyota GT86 served as a model for the development of the new GR 86. The chassis and suspension were redesigned in order to adapt the handling properties and responsiveness to the additional engine power. Light and high-strength materials provide additional rigidity while reducing weight. Additional reinforcements have been added in key areas.At the front of the vehicle, diagonal cross members were installed at the connection points between the suspension and the vehicle frame, which improve the load transfer from the front tires and reduce lateral deformation. High-strength brackets were installed to connect the frame and suspension, and the bonnet has a new, diagonal inner frame that replaces the previous honeycomb design. These measures made it possible to increase the lateral stiffness of the front body by 60 percent.At the rear, a continuous ring structure connects the upper and lower chassis. As at the front, new connecting elements between the frame and suspension ensure better handling when cornering quickly. Since the interior trim is now connected to the vehicle platform, a continuous frame structure was created. The overall torsional rigidity of the body has increased by 50 percent.

The new Toyota Highlander starts at prices from 53,250 euros in Germany. The 4.95 meter long family SUV comes with seven seats as well as hybrid and all-wheel drive as standard. The look is rounded off by the wide a-shaped grill and slim LED headlights. The large 19-inch wheels complement the sporty look, and in BRABUS trim, the #3 even sports 20-inch rims. The panoramic halo roof connects the surroundings with the cabin of the car to create a welcoming atmosphere—a perfect opportunity to enjoy the picturesque landscape of Mallorca even more. The sporty exterior is reflected in the #3’s performance: peak power ranges from 200 kW on four lines to 315 kW in the BRABUS, setting a benchmark in the market segment. Acceleration ranges from 5.8 seconds to 3.7 seconds. In under 30 minutes the #3 is charged from 10 to 80 percent and ready to go. Thanks to its modern software environment, the smart #3 is an intelligent companion in everyday life and supports the driver with an intuitive ecosystem for driving. This includes various systems as part of the smart pilot assist, such as a highway assistant (HWA) and automatic parking assist (APA). The smart #3 also features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay2, which allows drivers to bring smartphone features and apps to the infotainment display. To ensure that the system is always up to date, smart implements constructive feedback and is able to develop features quickly and publish over-the-air (OTA) updates at short intervals that can be implemented directly by the user without a visit to the service center. In 2023, four OTA updates have already been successfully rolled out for smart #1 customers.
