Security forces crackdown on protesters in Yangon

Description

Hundreds of protesters staging a rally in Yangon’s northern township of Sanchaung hide behind makeshift shields and barricades after security forces were deployed to repel the protest. Myanmar has seen weeks of mass protests demanding the military release civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been in detention since the February 1 coup.
