Thingyan water festival continues in Myanmar

Sittwe, Apr 15 (EFE/EPA).- Rakhine people in Western Myanmar continued Thursday the celebration of Thingyan water festival, the Burmese traditional New Year, which is usually celebrated with family reunions and water-throwing festivities. Anti-coup activists, however, have called for a boycott of the festivities organized by the military junta. (Camera: STRINGER).
