Volunteers clean South Africa's Hennops river on Earth Day

Pretoria (South Africa), Apr 22 (EFE / EPA) .- (Camera: Kim Ludbrook) Volunteers from the South African NGO Hennops Revival on Thursday cleaned the bank of the Hennops River, near Pretoria, to commemorate Earth Day, celebrated on April 22 around the world. The work of this organization helps to remove the tons of garbage that accumulate on the river bank. The theme for Earth Day 2021 is 'Restore our Earth'.FOOTAGE OF THE CLEANING.

NGO cleans Hennops River in South Africa

The river clean up is part of the ongoing work by NGO Hennops Revival which cleans the area at the Hennops River weir of trash.
