UK elections: Tories win Westminster seat in Labour stronghold of Hartlepool

Vote counting was still underway in other parts of the UK on Friday morning. British voters headed to the polls on Thursday to elect new mayors in London and Manchester, new members to the Scottish and Welsh parliaments and hundreds of local councillors.
