The BMW iX5 Hydrogen developed on the basis of the current BMW X5 was first unveiled as a concept at the IAA show in 2019. Initial prototypes were then made available at the IAA Mobility 2021 for visitors to experience in action as shuttle vehicles.Its hydrogen fuel cell system is further proof of the BMW Group’s leading development expertise in the field of electric drive technologies. The BMW Group is systematically pushing forward with development of hydrogen fuel cell technology as an additional option for locally emission-free individual mobility in the future.
Honda today began operation of a stationary fuel cell power station on its corporate campus in Torrance, Calif., marking the company's first step toward future commercialization of zero-emission backup power generation. The initiative leverages Honda's hydrogen fuel cell technology expertise and contributes to the company's global goal to achieve carbon neutrality for all products and corporate activities by 2050.
Last year, data scientist Rebekah Jones was fired by the Florida Department of Health. Part of her job was to work on the state's COVID-19 dashboard. But the data scientist was fired in May after she said she refused to alter data related to the pandemic in the state. However, she continued to publish her own Florida COVID-19 data independently, through her own dashboard. In December, Florida law enforcement raided her home, brandishing weapons at her young children. They seized computers, phones, and external storage drives in connection with an alleged hack. Now, Business Insider reports an arrest warrant has been issued for Jones, although it's not clear with what crime Florida officials plan to charge. Jones has agreed to turn herself in, calling the charges 'bogus' and an attempt to silence her for being a scientist critical of the government.

SOL, the new brand of the joint venture, contributes to the development of the Chinese mobility sector. A new agreement with Zhejiang Tmall Technology Company Ltd. will be the basis for an innovative sales model. At the group event, JAC-Volkswagen also presented its first product, the SOL E20X: It is an SUV electric vehicle of the A0 segment with a NEDC range of more than 300 km.
