Armenia says recognizing genocide is wake-up call for democracies around the world

Moscow, May 4 (EFE).- (Camera: EFE) US President Joe Biden’s recognition of the mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks as genocide is a wake-up call for global democracy, Armenia’s foreign minister said.INTERVIEW WITH ARA AIVAZIAN, ARMENIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS.TRANSLATION:"The saddest legacy of the Armenian genocide is its impunity. The perpetrators and organizers fled international justice. For dozens of years, the Armenian people have fought for historic truth and justice. ""President Biden's declaration will be a strong push for the global recognition of our tragedy but I have to say we live in a real world run by interests, and each country will pursue its own interests."
