U.S. Military Leaders Volunteer To Be Among The First To Receive COVID-19 Vaccine

Top U.S. military commanders will be among the first people to get the new COVID-19 vaccine. The military officials will receive their inoculations publicly to encourage other service members to do the same. Pentagon officials noted that leaders across military branches and commands will volunteer to take the vaccine. The top leaders include acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller and Deputy Secretary of Defense David Norquist. Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Mark Milley and Joint Chiefs of Staff vice chairman Gen. John Hyten will also participate. Pentagon officials noted that other senior leaders will also be volunteering to take the vaccine.

    Colombo, Sep 24 (EFE/EPA).- Sri Lanka began Thursday the COVID-19 vaccination drive for children between 12-19 years old with disabilities, chronic illnesses or co-morbidities.Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines are administered to children under supervision and assessment of consultant paediatrician while the parents or guardians are required to produce all medical records of children and also sign a letter of consent.
