Coronavirus pandemic: France travel ban on non-EU countries takes effect


#France has begun imposing tough new #border restrictions, banning all but essential travel from outside the #EU and tightening #Covid-19 testing requirements on travellers from within the 27-nation bloc. FRANCE 24's Claire Paccalin reports from Charles de Gaulle airport, near Paris.

    France will ease work-from-home rules from early February and allow nightclubs to reopen two weeks later, Prime Minister Jean Castex said on Thursday, adding that the general Covid-19 situation in the country was starting to improve. Castex also said that France's vaccination pass will come into effect on Jan. 24, provided it gets approved by the Constitutional Council.
