"We have made great progress in these last 10 days. But there are still issues to address. We will continue working next week. All the delegations are very committed and as coordinator I can tell you that the spirit of commitment is high. They are all very committed to an agreement that for us is key to non-proliferation, the stability of the region for the Middle East and for international peace and security. " 2. "I don't want to venture with a date, because you never know, but I'm sure there will be a final agreement not far from now." 3. "That is one of our objectives, I mean, the elections are on June 18 and as far as I know, so we still have one month less one day. I think it can be achieved."
The United States will return to the Iran nuclear accord if Tehran "comes back into full compliance with its obligations" under the deal, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says in his first news conference at the State Department in Washington. SOUNDBITE
Europe and Iran are to put on a united front in support of the landmark 2015 nuclear deal at talks in Brussels as Washington mulls reimposing sanctions on Tehran. IMAGES
The EU's foreign policy chief says he is hopeful the Iran nuclear deal could be revived after receiving "reasonable" responses to his proposed text from Iran and the United States. "I am hoping that in the coming days we are not going to lose this momentum and we can close the deal" says Josep Borrell, at an informal meeing of EU foreign ministers in Prague. SOUNDBITE
The EU says "everybody is studying the response and this is not the time, for the moment, to speculate on timing", as it mulls Iran's reponse to a "final" draft agreement on reviving a 2015 nuclear accord with major powers it presented at talks in Vienna. SOUNDBITE
The United States says that it is now up to Iran to make hard decisions in order to restore the 2015 deal on limiting its nuclear program in exchange for lifting sanctions. After nearly a year of negotiations, "the onus is on Tehran to make decisions that it might consider difficult," State Department spokesperson Ned Price tells reporters. SOUNDBITE
