Dutch police use tear gas, water cannons amid fresh riots over Covid-19 curfew: ‘going out of hand’

Description

Violent protests continue in the Netherlands over a Covid-19 curfew that started over the week-end, with riot police clashing with protesters in the cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. While people smashed shop windows and looted stores, police has called the rioting in the country the worst they have seen in 40 years. Many locals say they are shocked: “People are losing their minds.”
