A UK parliament committee has ruled that Boris Johnson deliberately misled MPs over Covid lockdown-breaking parties in Downing Street when he was prime minister. The cross-party Privileges Committee said Johnson would have been suspended as an MP for 90 days for "repeated contempts (of parliament) and for seeking to undermine the parliamentary process", had he not already resigned after being shown a pre-publication version of the report. President-elect Joe Biden unveiled a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus plan on Thursday. It includes $1,400 checks, according to Business Insider. Biden had pledged $2,000 direct payments to Americans. The $1,400 checks would be in addition to the $600 direct payments provided most recently. This would be welcomed funds as more and more Americans face eviction and hunger. Most developed countries worldwide have been supporting their citizens with funds since last March.
Sen. Lindsey Graham is one of Pres. Donald Trump's biggest defenders. Trump spent part of his Christmas with Graham in Palm Beach, Florida. People are waiting to see if Trump sign the COVID-19 relief bill. Trump has previously expressed his support to provide Americans $2,000 in COVID relief funds, instead of the proposed $600 package. Graham tweeted his belief that Trump wants to sign a COVID package providing all Americans with $2,000 checks. "I am convinced he (Trump) is more determined than ever to increase stimulus payments to $2000 per person."
