Rakhine residents in Myanmar return home thanks to Yangon authorities deal

Yangon, Dec 20 (EFE / EPA) .- (Camera: Nyein Chan Naing) Some 250 people from the Rakhine state, Myanmar, travel back to their homes from Yangon, with the agreement reached with the Regional Government of Yangon, the Rakhine Minister of Ethnic Affairs for Yangon and other civil groups, following the ban imposed by Myanmar on travelling or meeting with family, at least until December 31, to stop the advance of the pandemic.FOOTAGE OF THE BUS STATION IN YANGON.

    Indonesian authorities on Thursday rescued at least 69 Rohingya refugees who had been at sea for weeks after their boat capsized a day earlier. The refugee group's wooden boat and another vessel trying to help them both capsized on Wednesday, with survivors estimating that around 150 Rohingya had been on board with dozens swept away. Rescuers had rushed to save the group of Rohingya after they spotted them in the water, stranded and holding onto an overturned boat off the coast of western Aceh province. IMAGES
