President Donald Trump is not happy with the Republican senator from Nebraska, Ben Sasse. Trump vented his spleen against Sasse in a series of tweets, saying he 'truly doesn't have what it takes to be great. According to Business Insider, Trump then proceeded to call Sasse a 'RINO,' or a Republican in name only. In a leaked recording, Sasse had blasted Trump and warned his listeners that the upcoming general election was going to be a 'bloodbath' for Republicans. That's why I've never been on the Trump train. It's why I didn't agree to be on his re-election committee, and it's why I'm not campaigning for him. Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse
As President Donald Trump crosses the country in a last-minute frenzy of campaign stumping, he's given short shrift to down-ballot Republican senators. Speaking in Arizona on Wednesday, CNN reports Trump offered a mortifyingly dismissive introduction to the state's vulnerable GOP senator, Martha McSally. Martha, just come up fast. Fast. Fast. Come on. Quick. You got one minute! One minute, Martha! They don't want to hear this, Martha. Come on. Let's go. Quick, quick, quick. Come on. Let's go. US President Donald J. Trump Polls have shown McSally facing a tough reelection battle against her Democratic challenger, former astronaut Mark Kelly. And as they have in other tighter-than-expected Senate races, Trump's divisive behavior has been blamed for dragging down McSally's prospects. While she is still courting Trump supporters, she refused to say whether she was proud of the president during a recent Senate debate with Kelly.
Senator Mitt Romney of Utah said on Wednesday that he did not cast a ballot for Trump. He was sharing a bit about his 2020 presidential election choice, according to Business Insider. He said that "we are going to lose the ability to elect a Republican in this country."
A GOP Senator from Oklahoma is revealing Mike Pence's reaction to the Wednesday's Trump Supporter Riots. Jim Inhofe said Pence became uncharacteristically angry on Wednesday during the siege on the Capitol. "I've known Mike Pence forever. I've never seen Pence as angry as he was today." Inhofe said he had a long conversation with Pence. "He said, 'After all the things I've done for Trump.'" Another Republican senator told Business Insider the VP was the most angry he's ever seen him.
Freshman GOP Rep. Peter Meijer voted to impeach Pres. Donald Trump last week. On Sunday, he talked about the fallout of that decision. Meijer said he might have ended his political future by voting to impeach President Trump. During an appearance on ABC's "This Week," he asked Meijer if voting for Trump potentially damaged his career beyond repair. "I may very well have," Meijer said. Meijer said voting to impeach Trump was necessary for the good of the country.
On Sunday, Freshman GOP Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina is slamming President Donald Trump. Mace said Trump's actions related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riots "put all of our lives at risk." "We feared for our lives, many of us that day, and our staff," she said. "My children were supposed to be up there." Mace said that Congress needs to find a way to hold the President accountable.

Donald Trump Jr. had considered running for an open Senate seat in Wyoming last year--but decided against it. Instead, Business Insider reports the eldest son of President Donald Trump and girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle are looking at real estate in Florida. The eldest son of President Donald Trump has sparred with Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) over his father's foreign policy agenda in the past. But while Wyoming strongly leans Republican, he lacked roots in the Western state, which is also the least populated state in the US. White House advisor Ivanka Trump is thought of as a potential Republican challenger to GOP Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida in 2022. Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner are also house-hunting in Florida, where her father and stepmother plan to relocate shortly.
