Bangkok, Jan 5 (EFE/EPA).- The City Pillar Shrine and the Grand Palace in the Thai capital, Bangkok, are among the places that have been closed to curb the new wave of Covid-19.Thai authorities have imposed partial business shutdowns in 28 provinces across the country to curb the spread of COVID-19 as the country is facing a new wave of infections. Thailand has recorded 527 new cases in the last 24 hours, bringing a total number of confirmed cases to 8,966 and 65 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
