West Bank, Sep 23 (EFE / EPA) .- (CAMERA: Alaa Badarneh) In the Palestinian village of Kafr Al-Labad, near the West Bank city of Tulkarem, olive oil is produced through a traditional method called Al-Badd.
Early every morning, a group of Palestinians farmers from the occupied West Bank, hurry to harvest olives from their lands which currently lie on the Israeli side of the controversial separation barrier, after having crossed the Beit Awwa checkpoint by special permission from the Israeli army. Israel started the construction of its controversial separation barrier in 2002 during the second Palestinian Intifada (uprising).
Palestinians planted 120 olive trees close to the Israeli settlement of Psagot one day after the commemoration of Land Day, and in remembrance of the people killed during the last wave of violence.
