Thailand gearing up to open reception center for new COVID-19 patients

Bangkok, Apr 29 (EFE/EPA).- Thailand is gearing up to open a reception center for new COVID-19 patients in bid to combat rapid rise of infections. Thai authorities are setting up the pre-admission center to tackle with the shortage of bed for COVID-19 patients amid the third wave of pandemic, before sending the patient to the hospital according to the level of symptoms, as the COVID-19 infections surge in Bangkok. Thailand registered 10 Covid-related deaths Thursday. A new wave of infections in Thailand, Cambodia and Laos adds to the delicate situation in the Philippines, where a health system collapse is feared.
