Thailand steps up COVID-19 testing to contain third wave of pandemic

Bangkok, Apr 27 (EFE/EPA).- Thai health authorities on Tuesday accelerated COVID-19 testing for slum-dwellers in a bid to curb the rapid spreading of the virus.More than 2,000 new cases and 15 deaths were reported on Tuesday, the highest daily record since the outbreak hit Thailand. The Thai government declared Bangkok and other provinces as maximum control areas and tightening strict health measures in a bid to contain the ongoing rapid rising of infections.
