Opel sets standards on the way to becoming an all-electric brand and shows how the future of the estate segment looks – exciting, efficient and above all electric, without comprising estate-car talents. The Astra Sports Tourer is now fully electric for the first time in its long success story and one of the first electric estates on the market. The new Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric offers locally emissions-free driving pleasure even for longer journeys. According to WLTP1, up to 413 kilometres can be covered without a charging stop; and that in a quiet and light-footed manner, because the new Astra Sports Tourer Electric weighs only around 1,760 kilogrammes.The new Astra Sports Tourer Electric underlines the electrifying driving pleasure with an equally inspiring, clear and bold design including the Opel Vizor brand fascia, and top equipment options. Many electronic aids are on board as standard. In addition, the Intelli-Drive 2.0 system with semi-automatic lane change assist and intelligent speed adaptation is available as an option. Comfort for the driver is enhanced by the optional AGR-certified ergonomic Active Sport seat (standard with GS trim), while the fully digital Pure Panel cockpit with two 10-inch displays and Multimedia infotainment system ensures the best in connectivity and entertainment.In addition to all-electric drive, Opel Astra Sports Tourer customers can choose from several drivetrain alternatives. The compact estate is also available with highly efficient combustion engines and as an electrified plug-in-hybrid including the top-of-the-line model, the Astra Sports Tourer GSe.
Following the world premiere of the next-generation Astra hatchback in September, Opel has today unveiled the eagerly awaited estate model version, the all-new Astra Sports Tourer. The newcomer will be available with two levels of plug-in hybrid electric drive, making it the German carmaker’s first electrified estate. The new Astra Sports Tourer also continues Opel’s successful tradition of compact estates, which began almost 60 years ago with the Kadett Caravan, the first such car in this class from a German brand.In addition to electric drive, the new Astra Sports Tourer will be available with highly efficient petrol and diesel engines. Power ranges from 81 kW (110 hp) to 96 kW (130 hp) with the petrol and diesel variants and up to 165 kW (225 hp) system output with the electric plug-in hybrid variants. A six-speed gearbox is standard on the petrol and diesel power units, with an eight-speed automatic transmission (electrified on the plug-in hybrids) optional on the more powerful engines.With vital statistics of 4,642 x 1,860 x 1,480 millimetres (L x W x H) and a loading height of around 600 mm, the practical new Astra Sports Tourer further strengthens Opel’s leading reputation in the estate market sector and also displays the brand’s typical talent for efficient packaging. However, the overall length is 60 mm shorter than that of the previous model, thanks to the particularly short front overhang, and despite the considerably longer wheelbase of 2,732 mm (+70 mm) that is even 57 mm longer than that of the new Astra hatchback.

With a length of 4,374 millimetres and width of 1,860 mm, it hits the sweet-spot of the compact sector.Thanks to the especially short front overhang, the new Astra is only 4.0 mm longer than the previous model, despite the considerably increased wheelbase of 2,675 mm (+13 mm). Notwithstanding the muscular, confident stance, the new Astra’s practical boot with adjustable floor still offers the driver and four passengers 422 litres of luggage volume.

Opel goes electric! The German carmaker continues to implement this key element of the PACE! strategic plan by presenting the new all-wheel drive PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) version of the Grandland X. Topping Opel's SUV offer (that also comprises the Crossland X and the Mokka X), the elegant Grandland X Hybrid4 with an optional black engine hood combines the power of a 1.6 turbocharged petrol engine and two electric motors for a system output of up to 300hp. Preliminary WLTP/NEDC fuel consumption (weighted, combined) is 2.2 l/100 km with 49 g/km CO2. Planned to go on sale within the next weeks for first deliveries to customers in early 2020, Opel's first plug-in hybrid will contribute to the electrification of the German brand's entire product portfolio by 2024. It is also part of the carmaker's strategy for meeting future CO2 targets. Another step in the process, which also includes highly efficient internal combustion engines, will be the introduction of the fully battery electric version of the next-generation Opel Corsa that goes on sale in 2019.
Hyundai unveiled its thoroughly refreshed 2025 Tucson SUV in a North American reveal at the New York International Auto Show. The updated 2025 Tucson continues to build upon its successful Sensuous Sportiness design identity with a more commanding front and rear appearance, updated lighting signatures, new alloy wheel designs and a significantly redesigned interior. A plethora of new and enhanced driver comfort, convenience and safety technologies have also been added. 2025 Tucson 2.5L models will arrive at U.S. dealerships in June, while 1.6L turbo hybrid and plug-in hybrid models will be available late summer.The 2025 Tucson presents an evocative, bold appearance with ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design language and kinetic, jewel-like surface detailing that ensures its distinct identity in today’s crowded SUV marketplace. For 2025, revised exterior styling imbues Tucson with a more planted, substantial look thanks to a new grille, redesigned front and rear bumper fascia, and an updated daytime running light signature. New alloy wheels, anodized aluminum badging, and a 75-mm longer rear wiper blade for improved visibility round out these purposeful changes.The 2025 Tucson’s interior may feature the biggest upgrades of all, thanks to a more open-feeling design and a higher-tech, yet easier-to-use infotainment interface. This cabin glow-up incorporates a redesigned panoramic curved display that integrates an available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an enlarged 12.3-inch infotainment display. A redesigned center stack includes the addition of supplementary knobs and switchgear for frequent-use driver controls including audio volume and tuning, along with select HVAC controls for greatly improved ergonomics. The center console, steering wheel and door panel accents have also been redesigned for both fresh appeal and enhanced usability. A new dashboard tray located above the glovebox adds even more storage space for front-seat passengers.
The 2024 Kia Sorento Plug-In Hybrid carries over into the model year with very few changes. Runway Red exterior paint has been deleted as a color option, but customers can now pair the Gravity Blue paint color with the Navy interior color pack. The Navy interior color pack adds Navy perforated leather trim and a blue accent on the steering wheel. A gray headliner ties the navy them all together, a departure from the black headliner that came as part of the color pack last year. Aside from the minor color and trim changes, the Sorento PHEV continues to offer an all-in-one comprehensive package in the SX-P trim with standard AWD, a long list of standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and the most passenger room and second-row legroom of any three-row PHEV SUV in its class
