France marks memory of abolition of slavery

Description

In tonight's edition: An annual ceremony is held in France to mark the national day of the abolition of slavery.. The commemoration has been going since 2006 but many still feel frustration over how little has tangibly been done to address inequalities rooted in the legacy of the slave trade. And  researchers from Amnesty interntaionl release a report warning that a year long state of siege in DR Congo's Ituri province has exacerbated injustice and instability.
