NATO and the European Union vow to bolster their backing for Ukraine to fight off Russia's invasion. "We must continue to strengthen the partnership between NATO and the European Union. The first shipment of US assistance to Ukraine arrives in Boryspil, which Washington said was meant to "bolster its defenses in the face of growing Russian aggression", a day after Washington and Moscow's top diplomats agreed to keep working to ease tensions over Ukraine. "The shipment includes close to 200,000 pounds of lethal aid, including ammunition for the front line defenders of Ukraine," the US embassy in Kyiv tweeted. IMAGES
The US Deputy Secretary of State, Wendy Sherman, says NATO allies 'will not slam the door shut on NATO's open door policy' following Russia-NATO meeting in Brussels.
