SOUND BITES: PEASANT LEADER MEDARDO MAIRENA1. In this very critical year we want to tell Ortega, from here from this space: enough of continuing to repress the people of Nicaragua! (He who leaves, leaves!)2. We cannot continue like this, we cannot allow a single family to have been in charge of destroying Nicaragua, a single family to hijack the powers of the state, a single family to put their foot on our necks, of more than 6 million Nicaraguans.3. Ortega, enough of keeping us locked up, of continuing to abuse because he has the weapon. We are not proclaiming violence. What we want is to build democracy. What we want is to live in freedom in our homeland.4.Many say that Medardo Mairena cannot be president because he does not have a university degree. God and my family and my parents have taught me to be honest. Values have been explained to me. They have taught me that challenges must be assumed responsibly.
